Calendar guide
Organize events with categories, maintain recurring schedules, and coordinate with invitations.
An event in Zentra Calendar can stand alone or belong to a recurring series. Categories organize your calendar; invitations share individual events. Moving an event into a category does not share that category with anyone else.
Find the guide for your task
Choose a guide based on the decision you need to make, rather than the screen you happen to have open.
| Task | Guide |
|---|---|
| Set up a complete appointment or shared meeting | Plan and edit events |
| Compare a day, week, month, or year | Views and navigation |
| Organize work and personal commitments | Categories and filters |
| Move one date without disturbing a series | Recurring events |
| Coordinate across regions | Time zones |
| Share an event and interpret responses | Invitations |
| Get notified before an event | Reminders |
| Return to important event details | Bookmarks |
| Track the distance to a milestone | Countdowns |
Distinguish the objects in your calendar
An event occupies a date or time. A category groups events for your own organization. A bookmark points to an existing event, while a countdown tracks a target date independently of events.
For a product launch, you might use a countdown for the launch date, a recurring event for weekly reviews, and a bookmark for the final preparation meeting. Changing one does not automatically update the others.
Organize by context
Use separate categories for work, personal plans, or a project. You can compare them in one view or hide categories you do not need. Hiding a category does not delete its events or stop a recurring series.
When an event seems missing, check category filters before changing dates or time zones. Search also uses your selected categories. See Search events.
Use a series for a repeating schedule
A weekly meeting or regular class belongs in a recurring series. The series holds the shared rule, while a rescheduled occurrence becomes an exception. Future dates continue to follow the rule without becoming unrelated copies.
Before editing a series, review Recurring events. The scope of an event change and the scope of an invitation to a new participant are separate choices.
Understand event ownership
You can edit events you create. For an event you are invited to, the organizer maintains its title, time, and recurrence. You can respond to the invitation and choose a category in your own calendar.
A Zentra Meet link attached to an event opens the call. Accepting the calendar invitation does not give you meeting organizer permissions. See Meeting access.
Choose between finding, drafting, and acting
Use search to find existing events. Use natural-language filling to prepare a new draft for review. Use an AI conversation when you want the assistant to execute calendar actions.
These workflows have different consequences. Search does not modify your schedule, and filling a draft does not save it. A conversation can run tools that change saved events before its final answer appears.
Bring an existing schedule
Use import and export to move records between files and Calendar. Check the format, date coverage, recurrence exceptions, and destination category before relying on the result.
An imported file is not a continuing connection to another calendar. An export covers the loaded events and supported organization data, not every account record or Meet conversation.
